I really want to talk about GRWM’s Multiuse base! It’s currently popular amongst people who wear makeup in the philippines, it’s a product that can be used for multiple purposes, including, but not limited to, eye primer/eyeshadow base, contour, blush, bronzer, concealer, skintint, and much more!
GRWM was founded in 2021 by Mae-Layug Madriñan, Who started off as a beauty blogger. She noticed gaps in the philippine beauty market, like medium to tan people not being able to find their shade. She aimed to fill in these gaps by creating a brand focused on “Making a meaningful impact in the philippine beauty industry” by offering inclusive makeup for different undertones, shades, etc. that are high quality and made sustainably with ethical practices. I also noticed that it didn’t play nice with my cinnamonroll highlighter stick. I saw that it looked weird on my nose, it looked cakey, and I think on my cheekbones also, but maybe that’s just me. The product’s finish was amazing actually! it gave me a radiant, skin-like finish, if i had just found the right shade it would’ve looked like i had nothing on! and that’s not an understatement! sure it didn’t look like a filter irl, it didn’t blur, didn’t mattify, but it did look, at the very least, like my own skin, it looked very natural to me. It started creasing a bit around my lip area, but i noticed that it can easily be minimized by wearing a grippy primer (or any primer really idk) It also has issues with leaking, as stated by multiple redditors in r/beautytalkph. I have also been victimized by the perpetually leaking bottle, whenever i close it, a little bit of the base comes out, it doesn’t matter if i had used in or n ot, it will still leak like crazy!
I love the formula, and the way it feels and looks but i do not want to pay almost 400 PHP for a leaky bottle.
